Welcome to Playground Prime, a unique Internet directory of people who create literature, art, and music for the entertainment of children of all ages.

You want their trust? Give them a reason to trust you!

An interesting side note of surfing the Internet looking for sites that are a good fit for Playground Prime is that it is proving to be quite an education. While I'm finding a fair amount of excellent sites, I'm also finding a whole lot of "what not to do" sites. (To say I'm appalled by some of them would be an understatement.)

Today I happened upon what I hoped would be an addition for our "Magazine" category. Went to the site, looked around.

Pleasing to the eye. Fairly catchy content. Age appropriate. Let's see: whose site is this?

Hmmm, I don't see an "About Us" section. No, nothing in the footnotes. No clickable "Contact Us" button.

Oh, wait. They have a related blog. I bet all the info's there.

Hmmm, don't see any identifying information. Let's try the profile. Nope, nothing there. Just a link back to the original site.

Nothing. Not a single thing on either site to tell me who owns those sites and why they exist.

I wouldn't put those sites in my directory based on those omissions.

And you want parents to trust you online with their kids?
